Vertigo is the feeling that you or your environment is moving or spinning. It differs from dizziness in that vertigo describes an illusion of movement. When you feel as if you yourself are moving, it's called subjective vertigo, and the perception that your surroundings are moving is called objective vertigo. It can be caused by problems in the brain or central nervous system (central vertigo) or the inner ear (peripheral vertigo). Vertigo is a symptom of other conditions. It can be associated with nausea and vomiting as well as the inability to maintain balance. It can be debilitating, especially if it occurs frequently. While the primary symptom is a sensation that you or the room is moving or spinning, there can be other symptoms associated with the condition that is causing the vertigo, including double vision, difficulty swallowing or moving the neck, facial paralysis, slurred speech or weakness in the extremities. Involuntary eye movements and hearing loss may also be present with vertigo.
The form of treatment prescribed for vestibular disorders depends upon symptoms, medical history and general health, a physical examination by a qualified doctor, and diagnostic test results.  The most effective treatment for benign positional vertigo (thought to be caused by small calcium carbonate crystals that block fluid movement within the inner ear) is a procedure called "Epley's maneuver." This involves moving the head in a prescribed sequence into different positions, and is designed to move the obstructing debris or "ear rocks" out of the sensitive part of the inner ear. Try to avoid head positions like prolonged tilting of the head when speaking on the telephone or rapid alternating head movements. If you are experiencing vertigo, use caution in situations such as driving, walking, or operating heavy equipment. Even short episodes of vertigo may be dangerous while doing these activities. You should take help if you suffer from vertigo, migraine, etc. from the specialists in Jaipur.

What is a middle ear infection?
Middle ear infection is synonymously also known as otitis media. These infections are caused when fluid build-up or inflammation takes places in the middle ear. The inflammation/fluid build-up takes place on the ear tissue including the eardrum and tissues behind it.
Fluid build-up or inflammation is caused due to a virus or bacterial infection but may also be caused without any viral/bacterial infection. Additionally, a fluid build-up can also take place after an ear infection has healed. In cases otherwise, a middle ear infection may also occur due to dysfunction or non-infectious blockage of the Eustachian tubes.
Middle ear infection conditions are most commonly observed among children but can also occur in adults.
What are the symptoms of a middle ear infection?
Middle ear infections can be caused due to a variety of reasons such as-
Pain in the ear or an earache
    Fever
    Diarrhoea
    Nausea
    Vomiting
    Difficulty in sleeping
Yellow, clear, or blood discharge from the ears
    Hearing problem
    Temporary hearing loss
Can middle ear infections be contagious?
No. Middle ear infections are not contagious by nature. But, children may develop infections that follow through a cold/viral infection and in such cases middle ear infections can be contagious.
What are the available treatments for middle ear infections?
Middle ear infections can be treated in a variety of ways. Age, health and medical history are of significant importance before a doctor decides the treatment for the patient.
Treatment includes firstly waiting to see if the symptoms go away by themselves. If not, antibiotics are considered for treating the middle ear infection. Antibiotics reduce pain and fever. If a virus is causing the middle ear infection, then antibiotics will not be a cure to it. Antibiotics such as amoxicillin, ceftriaxone are common for treating the middle ear infection.
An ear tube (tympanostomy tube) can be placed inside the ear drain fluid from the middle ear. Flu vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine are the best ways to prevent middle ear infections.
Antibiotics must not be taken without a doctor’s approval by any means. Dosage and medicine must only be taken under doctoral guidance and prescription for safe treatment and good health.

All About Vertigo
Vertigo is a disorder that is a sensation of dizziness and spinning of the environment around a person. The sensation of false motion or of the world around us spinning is defined as vertigo. There are simple treatments for vertigo that are found and are extremely beneficial if practiced under the guidance of a skilled health practitioner for vertigo treatment.

Common Causes Of Vertigo
Vertigo as a disorder is related to ears where BPPV, vestibular neuritis and Meniere’s disease are two common causes of vertigo and are related with disruptions and complexities in the inner ear.
Inflammation in the inner ear, fluid movement or accumulation in the ear and ringing sensations (called tinnitus) are some pointers for starters which send false sensory signals to the brain which resultantly commence or aggravate the vertigo episodes in an individual.

Coming to the ears back again, many people suffer the complexity of reduced hearing power or complete loss of hearing power with passing age. It must be understood that we’re not considering a situation where a person has a hearing disability by birth. Reduced or loss of hearing power due to age or accidental or fatal situations can be improved upon by medication, use of hearing aids which are available in Jaipur and are technically equipped to allow a person to hear better.

Dizziness or Vertigo is a feeling that you or your surroundings are moving when there is no actual movement. You may feel as though you are off balance, spinning, whirling, falling or tilting. When you have severe vertigo, you may feel very nauseated or vomit. You may have trouble walking or standing, and you may lose your balance and fall.

Although dizziness can occur in people of any age, it is more common among older adults. A fear of dizziness can cause older adults to limit their physical and social activities. Dizziness can also lead to falls and other injuries.

Vertigo occurs when there is conflict between the signals sent to the brain by various balance-and position-sensing systems of the body. Your brain uses input from four sensory systems to maintain your sense of balance and orientation to your surroundings.  A portion of the inner ear called the labyrinth, which includes the semicircular canals, contains specialized cells that detect motion and changes in position. Injury to or diseases of the inner ear can send false signals to the brain indicating that the balance mechanism of the inner ear (labyrinth) detects motion. If these false signals conflict with signals from the other balance and positioning centers of the body, vertigo may occur.
